Are you paying someone else’s electricity bill ?

This particular home owner was indeed paying for someone else’s electricity bill.

This homeowner in Sorrento Victoria, came to us with an unexplained high electricity bill. Quite clearly from the above photo, they only have 1 electricity smart meter on the side of their home. However, their electricity bill shows 2 electricity meters with different meter numbers (shown the red & green circles in the above photo). After a brief walk around the neighbourhood, we found the owner of the other electricity meter number!
Fortunately this assignment was an easy find and quite simple to rectify, by contacting their electricity retailer to arrange for a refund. Imagine the shock the neighbour will get, when their new & revised electricity bill arrives. Perhaps they had never received a bill or worse they could also be paying someone else’s bill.
